Hofgut Stöcken is one of the most advanced organic farms in Europe, specializing in the breeding of Aubrac cattle. The animals spend nine months grazing on surrounding pastures and three months in a state-of-the-art open-air barn. In the farm’s own kitchen, delicious fresh-and-ready meals are created from the finest organic ingredients — for a clear conscience and more joy in everyday life.

The goal was to develop a corporate design, packaging, and tone of voice which stands out from the typical visual identity of organic meals.

Innovative brand in the organic food sector
AIAIAI, MMHHH, BOOOM

The distinctive design allows Hofgut Stöcken to position itself as an innovative brand in the organic food sector. It shows that the farm not only offers high-quality organic products but is also creative and modern. The onomatopoetic words generate a connection between the product and its sensory qualities, such as taste or texture. This unconventional approach creates positive shopping experiences. 

The idea

Onomatopoetic words, such as AIAIAI, MMHHH, or BOOOM, serve as the names of the dishes. They set the tone for the flavor experience and express pure enjoyment and delight. This sense of joy is also conveyed visually through a light, colorful palette and stands out on supermarket shelves. It breaks away from the familiar brown-and-green look of organic products, creating a cheerful and fresh contrast.

The solution

Using soft pastel tones, delicate illustrations, and digital-inspired typography, we create a fresh counterpoint to the typical visual conventions. Background patterns are used to create a distinction between vegan and meat-based meals. A large variety of meals is available, which can be found in several supermarkets and has been voted “Germany’s tastiest idea”.

The function

Since the target group values quick and easy solutions, a product was created which stands out and leaves a lasting impression. The packaging conveys joy right in the supermarket, and the preparation is effortless. The consistent design and wording make it easy for customers to recognize the Hofgut Stöcken products among the wide variety available.

Sustainability and customer benefits

The striking, signal-red typography draws attention to the appeal and simplicity of organic products. Hofgut Stöcken‘s fresh-and-ready meals contribute to reducing food waste and supporting local farming. Consumers are encouraged to make mindful, sustainable choices for a healthier diet and to protect the planet.
